A hill climbing monster – climbed kodaikanal in just under 3 hours by bicycle. Climbed World highest motorable road – KHARDUNG LA PASS by bicycle.

Dr. Jeshanth, A Medical Student. Member of CORE fitness studio. A Cycling freak. Have done lot of 100+ km rides by bicycle. Participated in several BRMs (Brevet des Randonneur Mondiaux). Participated in many events at Chennai organised by WCCG, Dr. Rela Hospitals, Cancer institute, etc., 


           Cycling works on your core muscles, including your back and abdominals. Maintaining your body upright and keeping the bike in position requires a certain amount of core strength. Strong abdominals and back muscles support your spine, increase stability. As you stabilize your body and keep your bike upright, you will improve your overall balance, coordination, and posture. 

Benefits of cycling

  • Cycling helps lower body fat levels which promotes healthy weight management.

  • Cycling improves overall function in lower body and strengthens leg muscles without over stressing it.

  • Cycling also works on core muscles, including back and abdomen.

  • Cycling can ease feelings of stress, depression, or anxiety. Focusing on the road while cycling helps develop concentration and lowering stress levels.

  • Cycling makes feel more confident and content once cycling a regular part of life.

  • Cycling is a fantastic addition to the care plan when recovering from cancer.

  • Cycling can help prevent cardiac issues such as stroke, heart attack, and high blood pressure. Cycling may also help prevent and manage type 2 diabetes

  • Cycling reduces the carbon footprint by riding bicycle whenever possible.

  • Cycling improves overall balance, coordination, and posture. Balance tends to decline with age and inactivity, so it is vital to keep on top of it.

  • Cycling is a great option for people who have joint concerns or overall stiffness, especially in the lower body.
